Andy says: We want solutions not rhetoric!

As the Labour Party Conferences plods on in Manchester and the powers that be sit drinking champagne in the cities bars and restaurants whilst patting each other on the back for a job well done the rest of us are suffering some of the worst economic problems for years.

Unemployment is at its highest level for a decade and looks likely to get worse.  The Treasury Department faces a black hole in public finances unprecedented for 15 years and all of us are facing the credit crunch on a daily basis with massive increases in utility bills and of course the cost of basic shopping essentials. And to top it all our house values seem to be reducing on a weekly basis.

So what is it our illustrious leaders are saying?  Not a lot.  What’s interesting is what they have not said.  They have failed to rule out tax rises and they continue to dodge the question of cuts to essential areas.  It will take billions of pounds to fill the current black hole so cuts to services such as the NHS and Schools are inevitable.

No doubt a Labour Supporter somewhere will respond to this letter by referring back to the post 1997 era but that will not wash.  We are on about the here and now.  They have ruined this country and made it a shadow of its former self.

People rightly or wrongly feel as those the streets are unsafe to walk at nights because of feral youths.  We all have less money in out pockets and there seems to be more workers out on strike than ever.  Our borders seem to be open and we continue to be fleeced by people who have contributed nothing to this country while our pensioners struggle to survive and keep warm.

So rather than blaming the Conservatives who left power in 1997 for everything address the problems that you have created.  You have been in power for over 10 years.  We want solutions not political rhetoric but I won’t hold my breath.
