A week has now past since the elections last week, the dust is starting to settle and political life moves on!

In Bolton generally your Conservative Team added the seats of Horwich & Blackrod and Westhoughton North & Chew Moor to our numbers.  We also retained all the other seats we were defending with the exception of Great Lever which we only just lost after a well fought campaign by Mudasir Dean and his team.

In Bolton South East specifically we retained Hulton and Little Lever with Darcy Lever with increased majorities and came very close to taking Harper Green.

The fact is more people (over 5000 more) voted for the Conservative Party Candidates across Bolton than the Labour Party Candidates.  Our majorities and votes shares were up and there is a lot to be excited about. 

If this result was repeated at a General Election we would have Conservative MP's in both Bolton West and Bolton North East and Labours majority in Bolton South East would have been cut to a fragment of what it was previously.

We believe with the continued popularity of the Conservative Party under David Cameron Bolton South East is a realistic target for the General Election and we will be doing all we can over the coming months to expose Labour and its candidate for what they really are.  We will also be showing you, the electorate, what our policies are and what we represent and will do when we form the next Government of this country.

It only remains for the Bolton South East Team to thank-you for your continued support.  We will do all within our power to represent everybody in Bolton South East irrespective of how you voted.

Onwards and upwards to the General Election, when ever Gordon Brown had the bottle to call it!!
