More personal data lost - systemamtic failure of government

MILLIONS OF LEARNER DRIVER DETAILS LOST

The latest in a long line of personal data losses by the government sees millions of Learner Driver details lost. Cllr Andy Morgan (Hulton Ward) added is voice to the ever increasing numbers calling for further action.  Commenting he said:

 

"This is another example of a fragmented government of which one of our Bolton MPs (Ruth Kelly) is at the heart.  Ms Kelly talks as thought this is an isolated incident but this is just another example of the systematic failure and incompetence of this government when it comes to handling our personal details".

 

"Commercial Company's are legally required to comply with the Data Protection Act but for some reason this government seems to think they are above it.  Gordon Brown promised competence when he took over as Prime Minister and all he and his ministers, including Ruth Kelly, have been since he took charge is utterly incompetent".
