As Carers Week approaches (11th June to 15th June) it is appropriate that we take time-out to recognise the work of the Carers both across
The thousands of carers in
It should also be acknowledge that they save us millions of pounds a year. If it wasn't for their completely un-selfish acts of caring, day in and day out, then many of those being cared for would be in the care of the Local Authority or NHS.
Any recognition and support that the government and Local Authority can give to the carers should be supported. By recognising Carers Week and publicising the support mechanisms that are there for the Carers themselves then hopefully them knowing that we are genuinely grateful and that we care for them will make their efforts that little bit easier.
Three cheers for the Carers, that's what I say!
