Following the recent completion of the emergency resurfacing works on Wigan Road, our Highways Team has now turned their attention back to St Helens Road (from Hulton Lane to Deane Church Lane).
The scheme is due to begin week commencing 10th May 2010 with duration of approximately 6 weeks. Initially the contractor will be replacing a number of gullies (first 2 weeks) before the main carriageway resurfacing starts. Temporary traffic signals will be required for much of the resurfacing work; however, their use will be restricted until after the morning rush hour.
Residents on St Helen’s Road should have received a letter and a press release will be issued later this week.
