What does it take to change a country?

Only the Conservatives guarantee change at this election. A vote for Labour and the Lib Dems could leave us stuck with Gordon Brown as Prime Minister, and the uncertainty of a hung Parliament could kill the recovery. In a hung Parliament, the Lib Dems could insist on policies that would make things worse.

We’re fighting a positive campaign to change Britain and Bolton, indeed, we’re redoubling the positive. Only David Cameron and the Conservatives have the energy, leadership and values to get the economy moving, mend our broken society and clean up politics.

We offer leadership instead of uncertainty; the Big Society, not more big government. We will:

  • get the economy working for everyone – cutting waste to stop Labour’s jobs tax, which will kill the recovery;
  • mend our broken society by backing families and encouraging responsibility; and,
  • change politics to make it more accountable, more transparent and more local.

Five more years of Gordon Brown means more of the same big government wasting your money, a jobs tax that would kill the recovery and no change in politics.

And in a hung Parliament the Lib Dems would be able to insist on their policies – so you need to know what they are.

  • they don’t support prison sentences for under six months – which would mean criminals like burglars and drug dealers would not be sent to prison;
  • they would join the euro and allow European judges to extradite British citizens for an offence even if it is not a crime in Britain;
  • they say Labour’s jobs tax would kill jobs, but support it anyway;
  • they have not promised to protect the NHS budget;
  • they want an amnesty for up to 600,000 illegal immigrants; and,
  • they would scrap our Trident nuclear deterrent – and won’t say how they would replace it.

Cllr Andy Morgan, Conservative Parliamentary Candidiate for Bolton South East, said "Don’t be mistaken, a vote for the Lib Dems will result in another 5 years of Gordon Brown.  Only the Conservatives and David Cameron can bring about the change that this country needs and only a vote for me will ensure that Bolton South East’s voice is heard and that we get our fair share."

"Before you cast your vote ask yourself do you want someone representing you who knows nothing about Bolton and our aspirations and concerns or do you want someone representing you who lives and works in Bolton and who has a track record of representing you and Bolton over the past 8 years.  If you want the latter then you need to vote for Andrew Morgan and the Conservative Party on the 6th May."
