
180 Students from Ladybridge High were invited to the Town Hall to work with a theatre group Dramatically Healthy to explore what personal safety and health issues affecting them. The students watched a production by the theatre group and then were divided into groups to produce their own short play on the same theme. Feedback from students indicated that they found the day useful, educational and enjoyable.
Following on from the success of the personal safety project, 150 students are to be involved in developing a production around the impact of alcohol on their personal safety.
Dramatically Healthy theatre group will again be involved in producing a play around this issue and then supporting groups to produce their own interpretation of the issues around alcohol misuse. This will take place on the 10th of February 2010. this event will also be followed up with an evaluation with participants.
