Cutacre Update

Obviously we are all disappointed at the outcome of the Council Meeting but we have to remember what it is we have actually achieved.

The council had to listen to our arguments because they were measured, reasonable and valid and it is because of that they had to reduce the proposed take from green belt by two thirds from that originally proposed.  That has only been achieved because of the campaign we all contributed to and we all should be very proud of that.

Only Conservative Councillors supported the residents of Over Hulton.  Labour and Lib Dems joined together to force approval of the plans against residents wishes.

Formal consultation has now started and your objections to the revised plan need to be registered with the Council by Friday 5th March 2010.

Over 800 letters have been sent to residents advising them of the process.  If you have not had a letter to can also register your objections using the following link:

www.planning.bolton.gov.uk/dponlinev2/acolnetcgi.dpgov

Previous objections are NOT valid for the formal consultation so you must register them again if you want them to be counted.

The formal objections will then be submitted to the Governments Planning Inspector with a public examination taking place during April.
