Over 400 residents from Over Hulton attended last nights (
Cllr Andy Morgan, who chaired the meeting, said It was a fantastic turnout by the residents particularly as the meeting clashed with the England Football match. The residents put their case in a calm and respectful manner and had obviously done their homework.
Cllr Phil Ashcroft added The residents did a great job and officers were left in no doubt about the strength off feeling against the proposals.
As a result of concerns about the length off time residents have had to lodge objections against the proposals the consultation period has been extended to the 30th September.
Cllr Alan Walsh said It is really important that residents continue to lodge their objections to the proposals. Objections can be logged via the Bolton Council Website (www.bolton.gov.uk/corestrategy) or by sending your objections to any of your ward councillors (see contact details on this website) and we will ensure your objections are logged.
The campaign continues and all further developments will be posted on the website as and when they occur.
