Pinocchio Brown!

Labour's attempt to claim they will not cut spending has been blown out of the water and been exposed for the deception that it is.  Yesterday, Gordon Brown was caught red-handed misleading the House of Commons when he said that investment will go up.

Politicians need to be honest with the public and tell them straight that this country is in a debt crisis.  Existing plans show that real spending will have to be cut, whoever is elected, to reduce the national debt.

The truth is that the bills for rising unemployment and the huge interest costs of a soaring national debt mean that many government departments will face real budget cuts under either Labour or the Conservatives.

Conservatives have not set out our specific spending plans for individual departments or indicated the overall level of government spending because so much depends on what happens to the economy. What we have said is that we will maintain real growth in health spending and honour our pledge on international aid.

Cllr Andy Morgan, Parliamentary Candidate for Bolton South East, said "This is not the time for political deception, we need honesty and the only way we are going to get that is to have a General Election now!"
